Course Aims

Pediatric Nursing

The IHM’s Pediatric Nursing Specialist course is a postgraduate program that qualifies the candidate for a Master’s Degree in Nursing. Students may pursue further studies by attending a Master of Nursing program either virtually or in person. The intention is to enhance the level of care provided to patients with the students’ pre-existing knowledge and skills in nursing science and practice to an international standard.

About the Course

• Pediatric Nursing

This course enhances the knowledge and skills of general nurses in the specialized field of pediatric nursing and helps them to work with a variety of children's nursing cases safely and professionally.

Pediatric nurses comprehensively provide nursing care for newborns, children, and adolescents as they progress through various stages of development which are physical, mental, and social.

The course equips nurses with knowledge on pediatric nursing and enable them to undertake safe and quality nursing interventions. The curriculum emphasizes the critical thinking skills needed for practice in the field of pediatric nursing.

The changing paradigms of technology and treatment must also be integrated into practice by pediatric nurses so that they can provide safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care.

The Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing also allows candidates to pursue a Master of Nursing degree in Australia either On-Campus or Online.
